In China, specialist wastewater treatment services for industrial parks look set to be a growth market, as higher regulatory standards for discharge into public sewers start to bite. A new report from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment suggests although 94% of industrial parks treat wastewater, 70% of them rely on municipal wastewater treatment plants, which are not designed to cope with difficult industrial effluents.
